"Marginal sightline" is a research project on the extraordinary body gaze and its oppositional gaze. It is a concept proposed by the author about the gaze, which refers to a gaze that is visually violent and carries power mechanisms in visual practice due to the representation of body images that are different from those of the 'normal group'. It is directed at queer and disabled groups and others who are subjugated because of their physical 'weirdness'. It emphasizes physical as well as visual violence and concludes with ways to counter this gaze.
