MOSSS-mode、original、stone、slice、synthesis
2021
Using ethnomusicological theories and methods, the project explores, sifts and organises the modes (music) of world ethnomusicology to redefine the forms in which ethnomusicology is presented and approached from a different perspective.
The project is based on the inherent properties of musical sounds and ethnic modes, and uses a visual modelling tool to visually transform the tonal representation of the world's modes in each region through the steps of coordinate system synthesis, original stone construction, slicing and synthesis, in an attempt to redefine the presentation of modes and the forms of being exposed to them through methods such as realistic associative object transformation.
