Fourths JinGe Notation 四行金革

This project abstracts, compares, extracts and deconstructs the notation rules and methods of the traditional Chinese music notation of Jianzi Pu, Gongche notation and Luogu Jing, categorizes and reorganises them in relation to the rules and techniques of Chinese folk percussion performance, proposes a methodology for the experimental process and puts it into practice, and designs a set of notation presented in meaningless characters, the experimental notation of Chinese percussion - Fourths JinGe Notation.
The emphasis of this project is on the process and methodology of experimentation in proposing and exploring how Chinese characters and graphics can better expand the boundaries of interdisciplinarity, rather than on the final result or whether it is a really good notation, even if it has some applicable nature and practical value.
