About the exhibition:
“你是河流，我也是河流：千禧一代家庭史展览”诞生于一份庞大的私人历史档案——近500篇北京大学本科生的家庭史非虚构写作文本。家庭史项目的发起人王洪喆将家庭史非虚构写作比喻为“时间的南水北调工程”，这也是展览以河流为题的灵感来源。我们通过家庭史写作和展陈旧物，尝试回溯那些可及、可记、可触的过去，拨开历史的重重迷雾，重新获得开启未来的动能。

About Online Exhibition:
The birth and growth of the Family History Project has always been closely related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, hatching an online exhibition can be said to be inevitable. In the process of preparing for the exhibition in 2022, due to the influence of many uncertain factors on offline exhibitions, the curatorial team will gradually focus on the planning and design of online exhibitions. The online exhibition builds an open virtual space based on the participants' non-fictional family history writing texts and related images, audio, video, physical objects and other comprehensive media materials. In this open world, each story is refined and integrated into a special group of visual elements, in which viewers can explore freely from the first perspective, and each person interacts with exhibits, spaces, and visual texts differently, so there will be Freer, more diverse and personalized viewing methods and exhibition experience also reflect the experimental and pioneering nature of online art exhibitions.
